The splended form of Embroidery- Gotta Patti


Gotta embroidery is a style of metal embroidery which uses metal embroidery and using applique techniques the embroidery patterns are elaborate. The Jaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Udaipur, and Kota are famous for their unique style of Gotta work.
History 
The Gotta patti work is also known as "Lappe Ka Kamm or gotta kinari work”. Art is a well-known and superior art form in India. The splendid art originated in Rajasthan and spread over the nawab territories of the country. Authentic gotta Patty is made from gold and silver during the royal period and this was out of reach for the common people. 
The history of art dates back to the time of the emperor Humayun and with them, Persian artwork introduces to India. Rajputs were fascinated with art and the invention of new art forms exist with the merger of two incredible cultures. Art is our pride and heritage which enrich our roots that enhance the craftsmen present centuries ago but still show their presence in the art form. 
Technique
 A roll flattened out is what gotta ribbon is. abroad sellotape is stuck on the nonstick side of the ribbon. On an iron tool called pitan-kutan, The ribbon is pleased and desired shape is hammered with an iron nail tool. the design is traced on the fabric and then the gota piece they're stuck on the patterns which were drawn on the fabric. lastly, the fabric is embellished with plain, braided or twisted thread and  sequence, stones, beads, and crystals are added to enrich the fabric.
Types of gotta Patti 
The fabric used for gotta party work mainly were chiffon, georgette, tussar silk, silks, cotton and crepes.There are different style of gotta patti and a few of them are seekhi, pool, bijiya, mothda, bakhandi, and lappa and many more. Seekhi gotta is created with gold and silver ribbons of gotta. While phool gotta is gotta circles that ensemble pleates.
Motifs 
The leaf is the most commonly used gotta patti, the other motifs are jaal or butas. Peacocks, sparrows, Paisley, floral and geometrical patterns, human figures, palanquins, e elephants, and horses are widely known. The zardozi embroidery with kairi, champak, and gamla gotta patti style were vastly used.
Present scenario 
In all the adversity gotta patti has flourished. Though it is underestimated. Innovated gotta embroidery marked their steps in fashion forecasts. It becomes warmer or pastel according to climate.
Gotta patti is not limited to garments only other textiles like bags, purses, and home furnishings. Though mostly this gotta embroidery workers are preserving centuryold traditions.
